Team Building Exercise: At My Best


Purpose

This activity helps delegates to look at their own abilities and experiences and acknowledge them. By sharing their qualities and attributes with the rest of the group, participants will feel better about themselves and perform better within their teams.

Objective

Delegates to acknowledge and share their qualities with the rest of the group.

What You Need

  • A copy of ‘At my Best Activity Sheet’ for each delegate (A copy of the activity sheet can be found at the end of this page)

Setup

  • Distribute a copy of the activity sheet to each delegate.
  • Explain that delegates have 3 minutes to fill in the blanks in the activity sheet.
  • After 3 minutes, ask delegates to share their answers with others.

Timing

Explaining the Exercise: 2 minutes.

Activity: 3 minutes

Group Feedback: 10 minutes.

Discussion

Was it difficult to answer these questions? Did thinking about your qualities make you feel better about yourself? Are you usually aware of your own contributions and expertise within the team? Do you praise yourself for your good work?
